Kuwait International English School

Kuwait International English School (KIES) is part of the Al Rayan group of schools and is situated in Hawally. The school has approximately 600 students and aims to provide teaching and learning in a family atmosphere. 

KIES follow the British Curriculum adapted to suit the needs of our students from Kindergarten to Year 12. All students follow the IGCSE programme from Year 10 and many students continue their programme of study to AS/A level which allows them to apply to many British and other Universities around the globe. 

Principal's Message

As I return to the Middle East as Principal of Kuwait International English School and my 15th year in Kuwait, I am deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of your children. We will accomplish this by setting high academic expectations for all children and providing supportive systems to assure they are met. We know you have a choice in where you send your students to school and we are deeply honoured that you are considering us or have already chosen us.

By addressing school culture, setting high standards for teacher performance, increased academic expectations for all students and engaging the community, our goal at KIES is that all graduates are college or career ready. We are striving to make the relationships between all members of our school community warm, positive and encouraging.

We embrace the challenges of the future while we continue to cherish and celebrate the traditions of the past.  Our remarkable staff, involved parents and committed students come together to make KIES a wonderful and unique place. There will be many changes, challenges and testing times for our students and teachers, but there will also be many smiles, successes and achievements along the journey.
