We are looking for English teachers for Riyadh, which was founded in 1597. Due to continued growth, there is an outstanding opportunity for an English Specialist Teacher (Year 5 - Year 7) to join a talented and dedicated team in August 2024.

Suitably qualified and experienced candidates may have the chance subsequently to undertake a leadership or management role, and grow with the group as it expands its network of schools.

Subject specialists work closely with Class Teachers, ensuring a collaborative approach to teaching and learning across the Year Groups. The children therefore receive the same opportunities, and all teachers feel supported by a strong team.

Teaching and Learning:

You will be expected to:

• deliver our broad and balanced curriculum
• deliver well-planned, engaging and creative lessons, ensuring that the needs of all children are met

• use technology to enhance teaching and support learning

Person Specification:

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• relevant Bachelor's Degree, ideally gained at a UK University
• UK Postgraduate Certificate of Education or Qualified Teacher Status
• relevant class teaching experience
• excellent working knowledge of the National Curriculum of England, ideally
• a strong academic background, stature and experience that will command the respect of pupils, parents, colleagues and the wider community
• a commitment to academic progress and the welfare and safeguarding of students
• knowledge and understanding of recent educational developments and best practice

Desirable skills and experience: 

• an understanding of the demands of a UK independent school environment
• experience working with children who have English as an Additional Language
• a secure knowledge of using technology to support education
