Morna International college, Ibiza, are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their growing team of international teachers.
About the School
The college is a private co-educational school located in a modern purpose-built campus on the Mediterranean island of Ibiza. Delivering the UK National Curriculum to students aged from 3 to 18 years, the college encompasses 20 different nationalities and provides a truly international learning environment. Classrooms are equipped with the latest technological advances in teaching. You will be joining a highly qualified and international team of professional teaching staff.
The college achieves excellent results in the internationally recognised IGCSE and ‘A’ Level examinations. This has enabled the students to progress to top universities in England, USA, Spain and Germany, opening multiple career pathways. As the teaching programme is based on the UK National Curriculum, the majority of staff are experienced and qualified UK teachers – experts in their subject areas. Pupils also follow a rigorous Spanish language programme delivered by native speakers with UK and Spanish qualifications.
About Ibiza
Ibiza is a small island located about 50 miles off the coast of the mainland of Spain. It is part of a group of four islands called the Balearic Islands in English, (or “Islas Baleares” in Spanish), which include Ibiza, Mallorca, Menorca & the tiny island of Formentera. It is just a little less than two hours flying time from the UK and is easily accessible from a range of UK and european airports.
The weather here is one of its best features with an average of more than 300 days of sunshine a year and up to twelve hours of sunshine per day during summer. It can get pretty humid at night so make sure you have good air conditioning! Ibiza has become well know for its summer nightlife in the main tourist areas of the island, but in winter months the island takes on a completely different character: it’s much quieter and calm so it’s good to make friends with other people who live here all year round.
