Worldteachers organise highly successful, professional and exclusive teacher recruitment fairs in the UK every year. 2014 will be our third year and our fairs have proven to bring the results desired by schools like yours.
As the fairs are fast approaching, we've covered a list below of our frequently asked questions, to make the process easier for you and your school:
What are the costs of attending the fairs?
We are offering a special early booking offer to schools – they can save at least £1000 by booking by 10 January 2014. A more detailed list of our fees can be found in our fair terms & conditions.
Is there a set fee for all fairs or is there a cost for attending each fair individually?
There is one cost whether you attend one fair, or more. You can also bring more than one delegate at no extra cost. If you needed a second interview room, this would be provided at cost which is typically around £100 per day.
What does the fee cover, and what are the key benefits to schools attending the fairs?
You will receive significant benefits! Firstly, the fee for attending covers the cost of recruiting 4 teachers. We will also promote all of your vacancies in various media, job boards, our teacher database of over 10,000 teachers and an intense social media campaign. You will receive one free bronze advert in TES. You will have to pay your own travel and hotel bedroom costs but your fee covers all interview room costs and you will have the full support of the team from Worldteachers.
How many teachers attended last year's fairs?
There were 196 teachers who attended the fairs in February 2013. Nearly 400 teachers registered to attend but through our screening process, we ensured that the schools were only meeting the teachers who were relevant to their requirements.
What is involved in the screening process that teachers go through prior to the fairs?
We gather a lot of information from the teachers to determine how suitable they are for each role. This includes their experience and qualifications but also their personal preferences and family status. We perform a matching process for each teacher in each school to determine a shortlist for interviews.
How far in advance can we see candidate info/CVs etc?
The process is very dynamic and most schools are happy to receive CVs the night before or even at the start of each day. The list chops and changes throughout each day and we try to ensure the day is filled with suitable and interested candidates. We inevitably have no shows on the day, some teachers change their mind on the day. Generally, schools trust our judgement to find the right match. Schools always have the option not to interview any candidate for whatever reason.
What happens after the fairs?
Worldteachers help you with the offer handling immediately after the interviews and in the period leading to issue of contract to help ensure we maximise the results of the time and expense committed to coming to the fairs.
What happens if I do not recruit any teachers at the fair – is my time and money wasted?
Firstly, every school attending our fair in 2013 was able to recruit the minimum number and most recruited many more than the minimum. If you don’t recruit the minimum number we ensure that we continue to help you find the minimum number of teachers and ideally more than that. Your money will never be wasted. The time commitment to meeting the teachers face to face is invaluable. It is also a great chance for the schools to get to know Worldteachers better and vice versa which helps us to develop a fruitful long term relationship with each school.
