Do you want to be notified every time a suitable position arises?
This blog explains what Worldteachers’ ‘Job Alerts’ are and how they will help you find your next position.
When you first register with Worldteachers, you are asked whether you want to receive ‘job alerts’ when completing your initial registrar application form. We recommend clicking ‘yes’. Here’s why:
What are ‘Job Alerts’?
A job alert is simply a notification to let you know when a new position arises. Worldteachers sends an automated email to the address registered on your profile to alert you that we have a new position which you might be interested in. An example of the email you receive will look like this:
Job Alerts means you are the first to hear about a new position and have first chance to apply to this opportunity. Being alerted for each suitable role also means you won’t miss out on any opportunity!
Please make sure jobs@worldteachers.net, info@worldteachers.net, and any of our personal email addresses you deal with, are added to your contacts, as often these job alerts are sent directly to your spam or junk folder which results in you missing out on this new job notification. Add worldteachers.net domain to your Safe Senders List.
What’s so special about ‘job alerts’?
These alerts are tailored specifically to you. The Discipline and Role preferences on your profile, for example Secondary English Teacher, are combined with your location preferences to ensure only the most suitable positions will be alerted to you. This avoids any spam or unsuitable positions clogging up your inbox.
What happens next?
Once you receive a job alert, you can click ‘View Full Details’ in the email to be directly taken to the job on our website. There you can find out more information about the position and apply directly to the job on our website. Watch our video on instructions on how to apply: LINK.
Next, one of our specialised consultants will review your CV and application and confirm you are suitable for the position and request permission to send your CV to the school. Or, if this position isn’t suitable, we will match you to something more appropriate. We will keep you updated throughout this whole process and always let you know if you are successful in each role you apply for. If we don’t have anything suitable for you at that moment, then this is where job alerts play advantage. You will be alerted as soon as something suitable does arise.
So, please make sure you are registered to receiving job alerts on your profile. Any problems, email bonnie@worldteachers.net and we can help you.
