Why work in Doha, Qatar?
Qatar offers a welcoming, vibrant and cosmopolitan lifestyle that is equally suited to both young and older members of the profession alike. Proud of its hospitality and rich Arabic history, Doha is a very modern city of contrasts ranging from the fascinating Souq Waqif and Museum of Islamic Art to the towering skyscrapers of downtown West Bay and the ultramodern shopping malls that are liberally scattered across the capital city.
Aside from the greatest benefit of a tax free salary, Doha holds many advantages to those living there. First of all, it is the second safest city in the world. Whether you’re male or female, young or old, living in Doha is really easy living when it comes to safety. For example, getting a cab or walking the streets late at night is perfectly safe.
The culture of Doha is heavily wrapped up in food, as families and friends can be found dining at the city’s many restaurants and cafés. From brunch and high tea to casual eating or haute cuisine, you will find an enormous variety of food in the city.
There are many travel opportunities due to Doha’s location in the middle of the world, so if you are looking for a city that allows you to travel to other countries, this is it. Places like Goa, Colombo and Istanbul are all accessible in just a few hours, and if you are looking to explore the Middle East, cities like Amman, Muscat and Beirut are a short flight away.
Another benefit to relocating to Doha is the huge, flourishing expat community. You can make friends, who quickly become like family, with people from around the world. The expat community is tight knit but extremely welcoming to join.
