Worldteachers organise highly successful, professional and exclusive teacher recruitment fairs in the UK every year. 2014 will be our third year and our fairs have proven to bring the results desired by teachers seeking jobs overseas.
As the fairs are fast approaching, we've covered a list below of our frequently asked questions, asked by teachers attending the fairs, to make the process easier for you:
How much will it cost me to register to attend?
It is free for teachers to attend
How many schools attended last year's fairs?
There were 8 different school companies who attended in 2013
What was the success rate of those attending last year's fairs for jobs?
Every teacher had at least one interview with a school and most teachers had three interviews on average. Approximately 50% of the teachers attending were given a job offer from a school attending.
How far in advance do I need to book my place at the fairs?
You are best to book your place as soon as possible to ensure you have plenty of time to research different schools and locations.
How do I secure an interview on the day?
We will have established your preferences prior to the day of the fairs but on the day you will have the chance to have a one to ne meeting with one of the Worldteachers consultants who can share ore information and you can decide on the day if you want to meet additional schools or even change your mind on who you originally thought you might wish to meet. It is a very fluid process on the day of the fair.
What is the process/format of the fair? Are there presentations/stalls/timetables etc?
You will be given a time to arrive and will check in with the team at Worldteachers. You will be asked to confirm which schools you wish to meet so we can allocate an interview slot for each relevant school. You will meet the Worldteachers consultant to confirm your choice of interviews. Depending on how open you are with your preferences will determine how long you are likely to need to stay. Most teachers should allow for around 2 hours in total. Your interview with the school might only last 20-30 minutes and there is inevitably a bit of waiting around. There will be a full team from Worldteachers to help with any further queries.
What start dates are the schools most likely to be hiring for?
Typically, most schools are coming to recruit for the next academic year with a start date around the end of August 2014. If you are available sooner, there may be an opportunity to start at shorter notice.
